Simple Church : Ephesians 6:10-18
… just a few thoughts/ideas for Simple Church.
Let me simply encourage you to talk about these things:
~ how is your intimacy with Jesus? Are you experiencing power and authority?
~ if your intimacy is low, what has stolen your intimacy? Is Jesus saying anything to you in that?
~ what does it look like to “stand” amidst the battle? Does it feel like you’re bending or standing? Any sense as to what Jesus might be saying to you in thee days? Any stories of how you have been standing amidst the battle?
Other ideas around leading each week.
Read the values out-loud.
* Refreshingly Grace-Filled
* Joyfully Engaging
* Undividedly Truthful
* Wholly Relational
* Unashamedly Experiential
* Practically Loving
Then highlight one value and simply ask two questions.
1) In what ways have you lived/experienced what it means to be “grace filled”?
2) In what ways have you not lived out/experienced what it means to be “grace-filled”?
Give everyone a chance to share.
I encourage you to highlight one value each time you meet, every time you meet. This gives us a chance to be reminded of our values, as well as live them out, pursue them, live authentically.
